Ryan Holiday's Ego Is The Enemy triggered a thought.
When you experience confidence in someone or yourself, notice and observe.
Is it rooted in the experience?
Is it rooted in ego?
Confidence growing from experience is going to be calm, stable, needing nothing more to feel complete, free-ing and inspiring. It is silent. It feels safe and opens you up.
Confidence rooted in ego is likely to feel chaotic, unstable, constantly hungry for validation - always seeking status. It is loud. It is draining for the receiver, and in your gut, you know you can not feel safe and shuts you down.
Question to you: 1. Which one would you rather be?
2. What kind of leader would you choose to work with?
